The Attack on Pearl Harbor
On Sunday the 7th of December, 1941 Japan made a surprise attacked on Pearl Harbor where most of the U.S Navy and Air force were stationed.
The Japanese fleet travelled for 12 days on radio silence to get to Pearl Harbor.
At 0600 hours exactly Admiral Nagumo launched the first wave which consisted of 183 fighter planes and torpedo bombers. At 0715 hours the second wave was launched.
At 0735 hours the first wave arrived at Pearl Harbor and left complete devastation and within the next hour the next wave arrived.
By the time the second wave hit men had been able to prepare and had anti aircraft canons prepared but in the chaos of the attack big mistakes were made and the anti aircraft bombs weren't lit on most of the bombs and most of bombs exploded on land not in the air.
